As a strategic thinker, experience designer, facilitator of creativity, and writer, I strive to live and create with intention, inclusivity, and mindfulness.
I believe the world has forever changed with the advent of the internet, yet we as humans haven’t at all figured out how to manage our always-connected, constantly-communicating, rapidly-evolving 21st-century lifestyles. We’re more connected than ever and live in the midst of an abundance of knowledge, information, and access, yet we’re more overwhelmed, distracted, and lost than ever before. I’ve started an entire website, The Refined Mind, dedicated to exploring life amid all these modern challenges.
Believing deeply in the power of human connection, I see authenticity and humility as keys to building fruitful, lasting relationships. I strive to regularly express gratitude and approach situations with optimism. Similarly, I believe empathy, compassion, and mindfulness are some of the most powerful tools we have as leaders — and as humans — and strive to bring their powers to the entirety of my life. To get you started, I compiled a tiny list of some books that have shaped me as a person.
My wife, daughter, and I live in Philadelphia, where we’re actively involved in many local communities and organizations. We strive to live sustainably and always work to improve our relationship with our planet. My heart is in the wilderness which we frequently explore through camping, kayaking and hiking adventures. Nature, serenity, and mindfulness are my favorite escapes from bustling city life, and we’re always looking for new places to explore and adventures to set out on. And campfires to enjoy!
Perhaps my favorite way of spending time is meeting new people, enjoying meaningful conversation, and really getting to know you, so please reach out any time! The best way to get to know me is during a walk and talk around the streets of Philadelphia — or over a video chat if you live elsewhere. You can also stay in touch by subscribing to my low-volume newsletter.
